The Walter Reed Vascular Surgery Service is among the oldest programs in
the United States. We were one of the first to offer endovascular
treatment. Clinical and research activities have resulted in more than
300 publications, 4 books, approximately 40 scientific exhibits, and
more than 10 scientific movies. The academic contributions made by
Military Vascular Surgery have shaped the thinking of vascular surgeons
