Important Message about EpiPen PrescriptionsMosquito Education

With kids back to school it feels like summer is over, but you may not be aware that mosquito season continues throughout the fall. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) mosquitoes can spread disease to people, to include the West Nile Virus (WNV). Mosquitos that test positive for WNV continue to be reported throughout the continental United States to include multiple counties in Maryland (MD). At this time MD has reported 5 human cases. You can reduce your risk of contracting the WNV by using insect repellent and wearing long-sleeved shirts and long pants to prevent mosquito bites. For additional helpful hints on preventing mosquito bites, please visit the CDC's website or call the CDC at 800-CDC-INFO (English and Spanish) or 888-232-6348 (TTY).

Additionally, SPM 2018 allows DoD, VA, and MHS to show how individuals, organizations, and communities can work together to support Service Members and Veterans in times of crisis and provide life-saving resources for those at risk of suicide.
